IMG_20170309_173023782_HDRA year after the European Commission presented its action plan in the Circular Economy Package. The 9 and 10 of march was time to present in Brussels the Circular Economy Stakeholder conference together with the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). To carry out an implementation plan, which includes an in-depth consultation of stakeholders and civil society.

In the two-day event, much emphasis was placed on the concept of circular economy being understood in greater depth and getting the challenge of carrying out real and effective actions that lead to problem solving.

The importance of the different actors of civil society is key in this path because, as Commission Vice-President Jyrki Katainen mentioned, “the policy maker has a fundamental role in problem solving, but he/she must act by listening and considering all opinions and ideas that society offers us”.

To conclude the event and as final objective, it was specified that a platform will be created.  Which in words of Commissioner Daniel Calleja Crespo: «it will be the best platform». With the aim of minimizing inefficiencies among all stakeholders since, has been consistently said, the success of the Circular Economy will depend on the degree of engagement that exists between all parties to foster circular models.
